What are API's hours of operation?

The Claims center is open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Central Time Monday through Friday
and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday.
I have an API service contract - how can I learn more about the coverage?
First you will need to create a user account. To accomplish this you will need your
confirmation of coverage form. If you do not have the form you can create your account
using your contract number and vehicle VIN. After you create your user account you
can login to the secure part of our website and see the details of your vehicle
service contract. Specifics regarding coverage, expiration, contract status and
other information are easily available.
How do I use the Claim Status page?
The Claim Status page requires two pieces of information, the contract number and
the barcode number. The barcode is printed on the fax cover sheet that is sent with
every claim authorization. If the barcode is unavailable we allow you to view the
status of a specific claim by using the contract number and the RO (Repair Order)
number.
This page is designed to be used primarily by repair facilities who are checking
on the status of a claim to determine if payment has been made and what the authorized
amounts were for those payments.
What happens after I login to the secure part of your website?
The secure portion of the API Protection website dynamically configures itself based
on what type of user you are, and what your individual user account allows you to
see.
- As a contract holder you can see details regarding your vehicle service contract.
- As a dealer you are given access to a number of printable reports detailing the
activity at your dealership and the status of contracts issued by your F&I department.
We also provide special press releases and articles targeted specifically at your
interests.
- As an agent you see a variety of reports regarding all of your related dealerships,
allowing you to understand activity within your area and quickly respond to any
issues that your dealers may have.
- As an insurer you will be able to view reports outlining financial areas such as
reserve account amounts, account pool levels and other important information.
